Subject: Pinellas County beach access park at 10400 Gulf Boulevard, Treasure Island which as of today (Wed., JUly 1, 2009) Treasure Island now owns. The county transfered ownership of the park to the city after a year of discussion. The move will allow the county to save about $44,000 a year in maintenance costs and will enable the city to generate revenues from parking meters that will be installed within the next few months. The sign is scheduled to be changed within the next week or so. The city will put up its own sign and install parking meters.
